Editorial – Rustic Bridal Boho Shoot

We are so happy to share this rustic, bohemian styled shoot with you all! After a very successful day of photo shooting in the wilderness, we have got some beautiful pictures revealing a rustic bohemian theme for the eco-friendly couple (who will love this idea)! Set in This Green Moon, an archaic part of Swillington Organic Farm, where magic happens at the soul of the forest. Turn your wedding into an adventure for your guests!

Defining the rustic theme and enhancing the essence of boho, this hidden wilderness is the perfect location for any woodland/boho wedding theme, perfect for the free-spirited soon to be Mr and Mrs who love the nature and all its beauty. The tipis, set up magnificently by Totally Tipi, fit in well with the environment.  The space inside provided a larger than expected dining area too.

The flowers were put together by The Flower Shop Ossett, a gorgeous range of colourful bouquets were placed around the venue and contrasted well with the amber lighting of the tipi. The flowers consisted of bold mauve’s, orange and greens, with a touch of pale ivory hues to add a lighter palette to the whole look. The table setting was stripped back with plain white to emphasize the flower decor, along with the cake being as simple and rustic as possible whilst still looking delicious and fitting in well with the theme. The cake was created by the very sweet Wildflower Bakery. The stationary was created by Gray Starling Designs, who did a fantastic job at portraying the rustic woodland theme with simple yet stylish invite and table planner designs.

After the decor and venue was set up, the models were prepped and made pretty by Catherine Elizabeth Hair and Makeup Artistry. The makeup was done with a natural beauty palette to match the natural beauty of the surroundings. Along with free-flowing curls for two models, one other had hers styled up with minimal streaks flowing at the front. Minimal hair and makeup was applied to enhance the chosen bohemian style dresses.

The models were photographed in both wedding and bridesmaids dresses.  The bridal gowns were chosen specifically to match the theme and all gowns included bohemian features such as lace and floral detail. Two dresses of the collections were free-flowing and loose at the waist, the third dress was more fitting gown and styled down to a longer train. All bridal gowns were different in the sense of fittings, sleeves and skirt. The pastel colours of the gowns popped really well with the bolder bouquet colours and the bridesmaids dresses were all similar in the skirt flow and length, however the necklines were different along with the colour and tonal range. The models portrayed a very relaxed and free-spirited expression, surrounded by the woodlands and a tipi backdrop, creating a perfect rustic and bohemian combined setting for a themed wedding.

To top the day off we had a furry friend who joined us in the woods and took part in the modelling.  Lily, our on-set dog kept us all happy and laughing whilst we were busy creating the different looks and settings.

We are really interested in what you guys think of our rustic/boho shoot and we hope it has inspired you for your wedding, do leave a comment if you wish to.
